‘Jedi-Mind’ Study Aid

About the Download

One of the problems that students are faced with is working for extended periods of time without boredom and fatigue setting in. ‘Jedi-Mind’ provides the dedicated student with a variety of tools (or ‘mind-tricks’!) to achieve maximum states of focus, concentration and receptivity, so that their study periods become more enjoyable and productive.

►SPECS & STUDIES

You are presented with the option of four different brainwave entrainment sessions: a pure binaural beat and isochronic tone, and two alternative sessions which feature the addition of music.

Beginning with a low 4hz Theta state, the frequencies rise by 2hz in 10 minute increments, culminating with a 14hz Beta wave. So the frequencies ascend in the following order: 4hz, 6hz, 8hz, 10hz, 12hz, 14hz, totalling in at 60 minutes per session.

Why have these specific frequencies been used? What are their benefits?

☞ THETA (0-20mins – 4 & 6hz): According biofeedback expert Thomas Budzynski, the presence of theta waves in the mind can result in “…uncritical acceptance of verbal material, or almost any material it can process.”

☞ ALPHA (20-50mins – 8, 10 & 12Hz): In March of 2006, a paper was published by BMC Neuroscience which demonstrated that the the effects of alpha brainwave stimulation could positively affect memory retention.

☞ BETA (50-60 mins – 14hz): In 1996, a study by Dr. Graham J. Patrick showed how beta stimulation can be used to increase focus and concentration in students, particularly those who suffer from ADD/ADHD. Dr. Thomas Budzynski also found that extended use of beta waves could lead to an improvement of academic performance in students.

What you’re getting is combination of slow wave frequencies for relaxed-awareness, which leads to greater retention, and also a gradually ascending frequency to maintain focus as the audio progresses.

► INSTRUCTIONS

Headphones are required for the binaural beat audios. For the pure tone version, use a minimal volume level.

For the isochronic tone audios, you can use headphones, but it is advised for you to use speakers instead. In the case of the pure isochronic version; because it is not being masked by the music, we recommend that you turn the volume down to a minimum so that the pulsing effect is almost subliminal to your awareness, i.e. you can still hear it, but it isn’t too bothersome.

You are not limited to one form of audio per session – when you’re finished with one, try studying with another. Alternatively, assign a different audio for each day of study!
